How to connect LinkedIn lead gen to Instantly for cold email
There is no native LinkedIn to Instantly sync. Here are the three real routes, the steps in order, where each one breaks, and how many sendable emails to expect from a LinkedIn export.

- Instantly has no native LinkedIn sync, so every LinkedIn to Instantly setup runs through a scraper and email finder, a Lead Gen Form automation, or Instantly's own SuperSearch database.
- Sales Navigator never shows work emails and displays only the first 2,500 results per people search, so you have to split large searches into smaller ones before exporting.
- Expect a large drop between LinkedIn profiles exported and verified, sendable emails, and treat vendor yield figures as marketing claims rather than benchmarks.
- LinkedIn Lead Gen Form submissions are inbound leads who filled in your form, so they should not go into the same cold campaign as scraped contacts.
- Zapier's LinkedIn Lead Gen connection expires every 60 days and must be reconnected by hand, or new form leads silently stop reaching Instantly.
There is no native connection between LinkedIn and Instantly. LinkedIn does not give out email addresses, and Instantly has no LinkedIn scraper or sync. So you build a bridge: export people from Sales Navigator, run them through an email finder and verifier, then upload a CSV or push through Instantly's API. If your leads come from LinkedIn Lead Gen Form ads, use Zapier or a LinkedIn partner to forward submissions. The third option skips LinkedIn and uses Instantly's SuperSearch database instead.
How do I connect LinkedIn to Instantly?
You pick one of three routes. They differ in where the list comes from and how warm the people on it are.
| Route | List source | How it reaches Instantly | Lead temperature |
|---|---|---|---|
| A. Scrape and enrich | Sales Navigator or LinkedIn search | Email finder, then CSV upload or API key push | Cold |
| B. Lead Gen Forms | People who submitted your LinkedIn ad form | Zapier, a LinkedIn partner such as LeadsBridge, or manual CSV | Inbound |
| C. SuperSearch | Instantly's own database (450M+ contacts, per Instantly) | Already inside Instantly | Cold |
Instantly's own blog describes the same split: use a lead database, or export from Sales Navigator and run the contacts through a finder and verifier. What Instantly does not do is tell you which of those people are showing buying signals on LinkedIn. It has no LinkedIn automation at all. That matters later.
Route A: Sales Navigator to Instantly, step by step
This is the route most people mean when they ask the question. Here it is in order, with rough times from doing it by hand. The times are our estimates for a list of a few hundred people, not measured benchmarks.
Step 1: Build searches under the 2,500 cap (15 to 30 minutes)
Sales Navigator shows only the first 2,500 results of a people search. PhantomBuster's docs say to halve that if your scraper also finds emails, because email discovery adds extra page visits. In practice, split a broad search by geography, seniority or company size until each slice sits under the limit. Some vendors, Scrupp among them, claim to export past 2,500. Pushing past LinkedIn's own display limits raises account risk. Read LinkedIn outreach limits in 2026 before you run large exports from your main profile.
Step 2: Export the profiles (5 to 20 minutes per search)
Most tools work the same way. A Chrome extension adds an Export button inside Sales Navigator and reads profile data page by page. Evaboot, Scrupp, Wiza and PhantomBuster's "Sales Navigator Search to Emails" automation all fit here. If you would rather not install an extension on the browser where your LinkedIn account lives, see how to generate LinkedIn leads without a Chrome extension.
Step 3: Find emails (minutes, mostly waiting)
Sales Navigator never shows work emails, so this is a separate step. Finders use pattern matching (first.last@domain), web scraping and a waterfall across several data providers. Evaboot notes that scraping the contact info and About section alone usually won't find many emails. That is why the waterfall exists. If you stack several providers, lead enrichment waterfalls covers how to order them without burning credits.
Step 4: Verify before you upload (10 minutes)
Do not skip this. A found email is a guess until an SMTP check confirms it. Unverified lists are the fastest way to wreck a sending domain. Our guides on cleaning a B2B list before you send and cold email deliverability in 2026 cover what to remove and why.
Step 5: Get the list into Instantly (5 minutes)
You have two options:
- CSV upload. Export the verified list, map the columns (email, first name, company, plus any personalisation fields) and upload into an Instantly campaign.
- API key push. Paste your Instantly API key into the tool. Evaboot offers a one-click push to Instantly, and also has Zapier, Make and n8n actions. LinkedNav pushes into Instantly campaigns by API key, with an optional request for Instantly to verify leads on import. Scrupp lists Instantly as a sync target. For PhantomBuster and Wiza, our sources did not confirm a direct Instantly push. Assume you will route those through CSV, Google Sheets or Zapier.
All in, a first run takes an hour or two. Repeat runs are faster once your searches and column mapping are saved.
How many emails will I actually get from a LinkedIn export?
Fewer than you exported. The only figures we have come from vendors, and they disagree:
| Source | Claim | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Evaboot demo | 412 profiles, 287 emails found (about 58%), 241 verified safe (about 43%) | Illustrative demo, not a benchmark |
| Scrupp | Work email found for 36.3% of exported rows | Vendor claim |
Neither number is independent, and your result depends on industry, seniority and company size. Plan on losing roughly half or more of your list between export and send. Scrupp's pricing gives a sense of cost: its free plan is 100 credits a month, a lead costs 1 credit, an email 1 more and a phone number 2 more. Check current pricing on the vendor's site, because these change.
Route B: LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms to Instantly
These are not cold leads. Someone saw your LinkedIn ad and filled in your form. Put them in their own campaign with copy that references what they asked for. Do not drop them into a cold sequence. The consent position for emailing form submitters is different from cold email, and our research did not cover it. Check your form's privacy terms and local rules before sending.
The steps:
- Manual. In Campaign Manager, open Leads, download the CSV and upload it to Instantly. This takes about 5 minutes, but leads go stale between downloads.
- Zapier. Use the trigger "New Lead Gen Form Response (Sponsored content)" for ads, or "New Lead Gen Form Response (Organic Content)" for Company Page, Product Page and Event forms. Then add your Instantly step or an API call.
- LinkedIn partner. LeadsBridge is an official LinkedIn partner for syncing form leads to other tools.
The Zapier route has two limits that catch people out. Each LinkedIn profile can hold only one app connection at a time. And the authentication expires every 60 days. When it lapses, new leads stop arriving and nothing in Instantly tells you. Put a reminder in your calendar for day 55.
Route C: Skip LinkedIn and use SuperSearch
If you only want job titles at companies of a certain size, Instantly's SuperSearch may be enough. It removes the export and enrichment steps. What you lose is anything LinkedIn tells you about timing: who just changed jobs, who commented on a competitor's post, whose company is hiring for the role you sell into. That gap is the usual reason good-fit leads never reply.
Where does the LinkedIn to Instantly setup break?
| Weak point | What happens | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| 2,500 result cap | Large searches silently truncate | Split searches into smaller slices |
| Email yield | Large share of profiles have no findable email | Budget for the drop, verify everything |
| Zapier auth (60 days) | Form leads stop flowing | Reconnect before expiry |
| Stale exports | People change jobs after you export | Re-check before sending, see catching job changes |
| No signals in Instantly | Everyone gets the same sequence regardless of timing | Score or filter before upload |
Where Saava fits
Saava covers the part of this chain that Instantly does not: it finds people showing buying signals on LinkedIn and scores them against your ICP. It then sends outreach from a LinkedIn account or email you connect yourself. That means it can replace the scrape, enrich and upload loop rather than connect into it. If you are committed to Instantly as your sender, Saava's value is in deciding who to contact, not in the Instantly handoff.
FAQ
Does Instantly have a LinkedIn integration?
Not a native one. Instantly has no LinkedIn scraper, sync or automation. Third-party tools such as Evaboot and LinkedNav push contacts into Instantly using your API key.
Can I export emails directly from Sales Navigator?
No. Sales Navigator does not show work email addresses. You need a separate email finder, and you should verify the results before sending.
Can I send LinkedIn Lead Gen Form leads to Instantly automatically?
Yes, through Zapier or a LinkedIn partner like LeadsBridge. With Zapier, reconnect the LinkedIn authentication every 60 days or the flow stops.
Should I email LinkedIn leads or message them on LinkedIn?
It depends on the person and the signal. Some respond better on one channel than the other. Our comparison of LinkedIn vs cold email in 2026 covers when each one wins.
