How to send LinkedIn leads into GoHighLevel (2026 guide)
Lead Gen Form leads have a native route into GoHighLevel. Prospected leads from search or Sales Navigator do not. Here are the steps for both, where each breaks, and what it costs.
On this page
- LinkedIn Lead Gen Form leads can go into GoHighLevel through the native LinkedIn Lead Ads integration under Settings > Integrations, with no middleware needed.
- The native integration fails unless the LinkedIn ad account has a linked LinkedIn page and the person connecting has the right ad account and page roles.
- Zapier can carry the same Lead Gen Form leads, but at around 4 steps per lead, 100 leads a month uses about 400 tasks, which is more than the Free plan's 100 tasks.
- LinkedIn offers no official export for people found in search or Sales Navigator, so every route for those leads into GoHighLevel is third-party and carries terms-of-service risk.
- GoHighLevel's LinkedIn connection in Social Planner is for posting content and does not bring leads into the CRM.
There are two answers, and which one applies depends on where the lead came from. If someone filled in a LinkedIn Lead Gen Form on your ad, open Settings > Integrations in your GoHighLevel sub-account, connect LinkedIn, choose your ad accounts, map the form fields, and send a test lead. Zapier or Appy Pie can do the same job. If you mean people you found through search or Sales Navigator, LinkedIn has no official export, so every route is third-party and carries terms-of-service risk.
Two kinds of LinkedIn lead, two different pipes
Most confusion about this comes from treating "LinkedIn leads" as a single thing. It covers two groups:
- Inbound, paid. A person sees your sponsored post, clicks, and submits a Lead Gen Form. LinkedIn supports this data leaving the platform, and there are official integrations for it.
- Outbound, prospected. You found the person yourself, in search, Sales Navigator, or a post's comments. LinkedIn gives you no supported way to export them.
The tools don't overlap. Zapier cannot pull your Sales Navigator list, and the GHL integration cannot see who viewed your profile. Pick your section below and skip the other one.
A second trap: GoHighLevel also has a LinkedIn connection inside Social Planner. That one schedules posts. It does not create contacts. If you connected LinkedIn there and no leads are arriving, that is the reason.
How do I connect LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms to GoHighLevel?
This comes from HighLevel's own support article, "LinkedIn Lead Ads integration." When we read it in 2026, the article was over a year old, so check it against your screen as you go.
The steps, in order
- In the GHL sub-account, go to Settings, then the Integrations page. Find LinkedIn and click Connect.
- Log in to LinkedIn and grant every permission it asks for. If you skip any, the connection fails later.
- Choose one or more ad accounts to attach to this sub-account. HighLevel says there is no limit on the number of ad accounts per sub-account.
- Confirm each ad account has a linked LinkedIn company page. Without one, the integration does not succeed.
- Click Map Fields. Match each LinkedIn form field to a GHL contact field, then click Confirm.
- Leave each form you want switched on. To stop leads from a single form, toggle its status off.
Our rough estimate is 15 to 30 minutes if your permissions are already sorted. If someone else owns the ad account, add however long it takes to get admin access.
Test it before you spend
Don't wait for a real lead. In LinkedIn Campaign Manager, go to Advertise, pick the ad account, then the campaign group, then the ad. Open the lead post and send a test lead to the CRM. The form has to be enabled and mapped first. Then open the contacts page in GHL and check that the record arrived with every field filled.
Once leads are coming in, how fast you reply matters as much as how they arrived. We cover the timing in speed to lead for buying signals.
Where it breaks
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Integration won't finish connecting | Ad account has no linked LinkedIn page | Link a company page to the ad account in Campaign Manager |
| "Permissions Missing" error | Your LinkedIn user lacks the ad account or page admin role | Get the role added, then reconnect |
| "Reconnect" prompt | Access token expired | Click Reconnect and log in again |
| A field you want isn't in the mapping list | It isn't saved to the form template | Add it to the form in Campaign Manager |
| Same person appears twice | Lead Gen Forms often prefill a personal email | Dedupe on phone or name plus company, not just email |
The permission and reconnect rows come from a third-party setup guide, not HighLevel's own documentation. In our experience they are the most common failure points.
The duplicates row deserves attention. Lead Gen Forms tend to prefill the email on someone's LinkedIn account, which is often a personal address. If that person is already in GHL under a work email, you get two records. If you send email to these contacts, read why cold emails bounce and how to clean a list first.
Should I use Zapier or the native integration?
Use the native integration unless you need logic it doesn't offer, such as routing by country or posting to Slack. Every extra tool is another place for a token to expire.
| Route | Brings in Lead Gen Form leads? | Cost driver | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| GHL native LinkedIn Lead Ads | Yes | Included in GHL. We couldn't confirm which plans include it | Fewest moving parts |
| Zapier | Yes | Tasks per month. Free plan is 100 tasks | One vendor claims leads arrive in 2 to 3 minutes. We haven't tested this |
| Appy Pie | Yes, via "Watch Form Responses" | Appy Pie plan | GHL actions include Create or Update Contact and Add Tags On Contacts |
| Make.com | Not confirmed | Make operations | GHL modules include Create a Contact and Create an Opportunity. We found no native Lead Gen Form trigger |
The Zapier task math
If a Zap uses about 4 steps per lead (trigger, format, create contact, add tag), 100 leads a month uses roughly 400 tasks. Zapier's Free plan, as cited in guides we read in 2026, allows 100. Count the steps in your own Zap and multiply before you pick a plan.
Two Zapier requirements catch people out. The LinkedIn account you connect needs Lead Gen Form Manager permission on the target business account. A personal account without it can return 403 errors. And only fields saved to the form template in Campaign Manager can be mapped.
Zapier cannot send connection requests, send DMs, or read profile activity, because LinkedIn's API doesn't allow it. Be wary of any integration listing that offers a "new lead from LinkedIn profile visit" trigger. We could find no LinkedIn documentation that supports it.
Can I send Sales Navigator or search leads into GoHighLevel?
Yes, but not through anything LinkedIn supports. Your options:
- Manual. Copy name, company, title and profile URL into a sheet, find an email, then import the CSV into GHL as contacts. Expect a few minutes per person once you include email lookup. That is fine for 20 a week and painful for 200. What to automate in manual prospecting covers where that time goes.
- Scrapers and browser extensions. These export lists to CSV or push them to webhooks. They work until LinkedIn flags the account. We cover that risk in Saava vs PhantomBuster and safe volumes in LinkedIn outreach limits in 2026.
- Enrichment tools. You take the profile URL and run it through enrichment for an email and phone. Stacking vendors adds cost fast. See lead enrichment waterfalls.
Whichever route you use, check job titles before the contact goes into a GHL workflow. Prospected data goes stale quickly, and a workflow will happily email someone who left in March. Catching job changes before you send explains how.
If you run GHL as an agency with a sub-account per client, give each client's ad account its own sub-account connection. Don't route everything through one. LinkedIn lead gen for agencies covers the wider setup.
What we couldn't verify
We would rather list these gaps than guess:
- Which GHL plan tiers include the native LinkedIn integration.
- Whether the native sync is real time or polled, and how long it takes.
- Rate limits and duplicate handling inside the native integration.
- A third-party guide says you can backfill about 90 days of past leads. HighLevel's own article doesn't mention it.
- One vendor says GHL has no native LinkedIn integration at all. That contradicts HighLevel's support article, and the vendor sells an alternative, so we went with HighLevel's article.
Where Saava fits
Saava doesn't touch the Lead Gen Form route. The native GHL integration handles that well. Saava covers the outbound side: it finds people showing buying signals on LinkedIn, scores them against your ICP, and sends outreach from the LinkedIn account or email you connect yourself. If you need those contacts inside GHL, ask us how export fits your setup before you assume a direct sync exists.
FAQ
Does GoHighLevel have a native LinkedIn integration?
Yes, for Lead Gen Form leads. HighLevel's support portal documents a LinkedIn Lead Ads integration under Settings > Integrations. Treat older articles that say otherwise as out of date.
Why does my LinkedIn connection in GoHighLevel not create any contacts?
You have probably connected LinkedIn in Social Planner, which is for posting. Leads come through the LinkedIn Lead Ads integration on the Integrations page.
Can Zapier send LinkedIn connection requests or messages from GoHighLevel?
No. LinkedIn's API doesn't let Zapier send connection requests or DMs, or read profile actions. Zapier's LinkedIn triggers cover Lead Gen Form responses and ads events.
Why do I get duplicate contacts from LinkedIn forms?
Lead Gen Forms usually prefill the email on the person's LinkedIn account, which is often personal. If GHL already has them under a work email, it creates a second contact.
