Key takeaways
  • Job-change tracking tools fall into four groups: dedicated champion trackers, data platforms with an alert module, AI SDR tools that treat a move as one signal, and APIs you wire up yourself.
  • UserGems pricing in 2026 is reported anywhere from about $10K to $36K a year at entry, so check the vendor directly before you budget.
  • Sources disagree on how fast these tools detect a move, with claims ranging from within days to a monthly refresh, so ask for a trial on your own CRM data.
  • Salesmotion's rule of thumb is that below 2,000 trackable contacts, the math on a $36,000+ a year tool gets tight.
  • A quarterly manual LinkedIn audit works for your top 200 to 300 contacts and breaks past a few hundred.

The tools that track job changes for sales triggers fall into four groups. Dedicated champion trackers like UserGems and Champify watch contacts already in your CRM and alert you when someone moves. Data platforms like ZoomInfo, Apollo.io and LinkedIn Sales Navigator offer job-change alerts as one module. AI SDR tools like Unify and Artisan treat a move as one signal among many. APIs like Datamagnet and CUFinder let you build your own. For a few hundred contacts, a quarterly manual check still works.

Which tools track job changes? The shortlist

Here are five options before the detail. We put Saava first because it's our page. As the table shows, Saava is not a CRM champion tracker, and we say so up front.

Tool What it watches Best for Entry price (2026, as reported)
Saava LinkedIn buying signals, scored against your ICP Teams that want fresh signals beyond job moves, plus outreach from their own account See signup page
UserGems Your CRM contacts: past customers, champions, prospects Teams with thousands of past users and champions in Salesforce or HubSpot About $10K to $36K/yr, sources conflict
Apollo.io Contacts in its database, via Job Change Alerts and Apollo Refresh Teams already prospecting in Apollo Not in our research
ZoomInfo Tracker, Copilot Signals, GTM Studio Champion Tracking play Teams already paying for ZoomInfo Not in our research
Datamagnet Profile URLs you send it via API or CSV Teams with an engineer who want webhooks Not in our research

We did not verify every vendor's pricing page. Where a price is missing, the research we had didn't include one, and we won't guess.

Saava: who it fits and who it doesn't

Saava finds buying signals on LinkedIn, such as people engaging with posts in your category, and scores each person against your ICP. It then sends outreach from the LinkedIn account or email you connect yourself.

Pick Saava if your problem is "we need more people showing intent this week." Don't pick it if your problem is "tell me when our 4,000 past champions change jobs." For that, a dedicated tracker below is the honest answer. If you want the bigger picture on combining triggers, our signal-based selling guide covers it.

Dedicated champion trackers

UserGems

UserGems pioneered the category. It monitors your CRM contacts for company and title changes. When a former user takes a VP role at a new company, it creates the lead in your CRM and triggers outreach workflows. It supports Salesforce and HubSpot.

The historical limit: one review from about six months ago says it only tracks people already in your CRM and is not for net-new prospects. Newer sources say it has expanded to AI-powered outbound through Gem-E and ABM orchestration. The signal count depends on who you read: 21+ (Unify), 30+ (Salesmotion), 600+ for scoring (gtmstack.directory). We can't tell you which is current.

Competitors say it has no built-in sequencer and needs Salesloft or Outreach to send. That claim comes from Unify's comparison page, so weigh it accordingly.

Pick UserGems over us if you have a large installed base of past users and the budget for an annual contract.

Champify

Champify is Salesforce-first and focused on job changes. We only have third-party descriptions of it, so we can't give you a price or feature list we'd stand behind. If you run Salesforce and want a narrower tool than UserGems, put it on your demo list.

Champions, ChampionTracker, Enrichverx

These are newer or smaller vendors. Everything we found about them came from their own pages. Trial them on a sample of your data before you trust any accuracy claim.

Data platforms with a job-change module

If you already pay for one of these, start there before you buy anything new.

  • ZoomInfo offers Tracker, Copilot Signals and a Champion Tracking play inside GTM Studio. Our Saava vs ZoomInfo post covers where the cost goes.
  • Apollo.io has Job Change Alerts and Apollo Refresh, which updates records when people move. More in Saava vs Apollo.
  • LinkedIn Sales Navigator alerts you when a saved lead changes jobs. It's cheap and accurate because the data is LinkedIn's own. The catch: you have to save every lead by hand. Our Sales Navigator alternatives post compares the options.

AI SDR and signal platforms

  • Unify runs champion tracking and new-hire tracking as "plays." Unify also writes comparison pages about UserGems, so read those as a competitor's view.
  • Artisan includes job changes as a signal for its AI SDR, Ava. The claims we found came from Artisan's own blog.
  • Salesmotion positions itself as a cheaper option, with job changes among 50+ signals.

These tools suit teams that want detection and sending in one place. They suit teams less if your main asset is a deep CRM of past champions.

Build your own: APIs and webhooks

Datamagnet works through an API. You create a job_change signal with champion profile URLs, synced from your CRM or uploaded as a CSV. It checks continuously for title and company changes and alerts you through Slack, email or webhook. Its page shows a 30% churn reduction figure with no source, so we're not repeating it as fact.

CUFinder says it has 1B+ contact profiles, detects 4 change types, and charges 1 credit per lookup. Those figures come from its own listicle.

The API route costs engineering time but avoids a five-figure annual contract. If you're stacking data vendors, read lead enrichment waterfalls first so you don't pay twice for the same lookup.

The free, manual way

This is what to do before you buy anything:

  1. Export your top 200 to 300 CRM contacts: champions, power users, closed-won buyers.
  2. Save them as leads in Sales Navigator or follow them on LinkedIn.
  3. Once a quarter, check each profile against your CRM record.
  4. Watch email bounces. A bounce from a known champion often means they left.
  5. Set Google Alerts for your top 20 names.

One source we reviewed says this breaks past a few hundred contacts. That matches what you'd expect from a quarterly spreadsheet job.

What does UserGems cost in 2026?

The sources disagree. Here's every figure we found, with its source.

Source Reported price
Salesmotion Core $3,000/mo ($36K/yr), Advanced $6,250/mo ($75K/yr), Elite $12,500/mo ($150K/yr), plus $3,000 to $10,000 implementation
Unify From $33,000/yr plus $3,000 implementation, Enterprise up to $120,000/yr
gtmstack.directory $2,750/mo ($33K/yr), $33K to $120K/yr at scale
Artisan blog 2026 pricing from $33K/yr
Pulserevops About $10K/yr Standard, $25K+ Enterprise
SyncGTM $30K to $60K/yr, says pricing isn't public

Most recent sources cluster around $33K to $36K a year at entry. Confirm on usergems.com before you budget.

Salesmotion's rule of thumb: if you have under 2,000 trackable contacts, the math on a $36,000+ a year tool gets tight.

How fast do these tools see a job change?

We don't know for sure. The claims conflict.

Claim about UserGems Source
Often surfaces changes within days Findymail
Monthly tracked-contact refresh CUFinder
2 to 4 week refresh lag Unify (competitor)

Speed matters because the first weeks in a new role are when people buy. Our job-change trigger playbook covers the 90-day window, and speed to lead for buying signals covers how fast to act once you know. Ask every vendor to run a trial on a sample of your CRM where you already know who moved, then count what they caught.

How to choose

  • Under a few hundred champions: do it manually with Sales Navigator.
  • Already on ZoomInfo or Apollo: switch on their job-change alerts first.
  • Thousands of past users in Salesforce or HubSpot: trial UserGems and Champify side by side.
  • Engineer on hand, tight budget: Datamagnet or CUFinder.
  • Job changes are only one trigger you care about: look at signal platforms.

Where Saava fits

Saava does not monitor your CRM for job changes the way UserGems or Champify do. It watches LinkedIn for buying signals, scores the people behind them against your ICP, and sends outreach from the LinkedIn account or email you connect yourself. Teams often run a champion tracker for past customers and Saava for new people showing intent.

FAQ

Can LinkedIn Sales Navigator track job changes?

Yes, for leads you save. It alerts you when a saved lead changes jobs. You have to save each person by hand, which is why it stops scaling past a few hundred.

How much does UserGems cost in 2026?

Reported entry prices range from about $10K to $36K a year, with most recent sources near $33K to $36K plus a one-time implementation fee. Check the vendor directly.

How many contacts do I need before a paid tracker pays off?

Salesmotion's rule of thumb is 2,000 trackable contacts. Below that, a $36,000+ a year tool is hard to justify.

Which tools track job changes for net-new prospects, not just my CRM?

Data platforms like Apollo.io and ZoomInfo and signal platforms like Unify cover people outside your CRM. Classic champion trackers started with CRM contacts only.
