Best LinkedIn monitoring tools for sales teams in 2026
Most sales teams need three things: alerts on saved accounts, a tool that watches public engagement, and a job-change tracker. Here is how the options split, what Sales Navigator costs in 2026, and why Trigify should not be on your list.

- FAQ
- For most sales teams, "LinkedIn monitoring" means three separate jobs: alerts on saved accounts, public post and engagement listening, and job-change tracking.
- Social listening suites like Hootsuite, Brandwatch and Meltwater are built for brand and marketing teams, and they are a poor substitute for sales monitoring.
- LinkedIn Sales Navigator lists at $119.99 per seat per month for Core and $159.99 for Advanced in 2026, and every tier includes 50 InMail credits a month.
- Trigify shuts down on 22 October 2026 with no migration into HubSpot, so any 2026 list that still recommends it is out of date.
- Small vendors in this category can be acquired or closed, so keep your signal history and contacts exportable from day one.
For most sales teams in 2026, the best LinkedIn monitoring setup has three parts. Sales Navigator gives you alerts on saved accounts. A second tool watches public posts, comments and buying signals. A job-change tracker covers past champions if you sell to them. Social listening suites like Hootsuite or Brandwatch do a different job for marketing. Trigify still appears on many lists, but it shuts down on 22 October 2026, so do not start there.
The shortlist
Almost every "best of" list in this category is written by a vendor, and that vendor ranks its own product first. This one is written by a vendor too. We put Saava first, and below we say plainly who should pick something else.
| Tool | Type | What it watches | Price we could verify (2026) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Saava | Signal finding, scoring and outreach | LinkedIn buying signals, scored against your ICP | Not covered here |
| LinkedIn Sales Navigator | Native alerts | Leads and accounts you save inside LinkedIn | Core $119.99, Advanced $159.99 per seat per month |
| UserGems, Champify | Job-change tracking | Contacts who move employers | Not verified in our research |
| Extrovert, Embers | Post and engagement listening | Public posts, comments, competitor activity | Not verified in our research |
| Clay-built workflow | DIY | Whatever you build | Not verified in our research |
What does "LinkedIn monitoring" actually mean?
Search for LinkedIn monitoring tools and you get five different product types mixed together. Meltwater's roundup with that title is really about social listening and recommends Hootsuite and SocialPilot, which suit agencies and marketing teams. ZoomInfo's "LinkedIn automation" list is mostly outreach tools. Neither tells an SDR what to watch.
| Type | What it watches | Examples | Is it a sales tool? |
|---|---|---|---|
| A. Native LinkedIn alerts | Saved leads and accounts | Sales Navigator | Yes |
| B. Job-change tracking | Contacts changing employers | UserGems, Champify, LeadIQ, Apollo | Yes |
| C. Post and engagement listening | Public posts, comments, keywords, competitor activity | Extrovert, Embers, Signado, CatchIntent, Clay workflows | Yes |
| D. Brand listening suites | Mentions, brand, company page analytics | Hootsuite, Brandwatch, Meltwater, SocialPilot, Keyhole | Mostly marketing |
| E. Outreach automation | Nothing. These send messages | Dripify, Expandi, HeyReach, Waalaxy, Skylead | Sending, not monitoring |
A sales team needs A, B and C. D and E solve other problems. If you want the signal vocabulary behind type C, our list of 7 LinkedIn engagement signals that predict buying intent breaks down which actions matter.
1. Saava
Saava finds buying signals on LinkedIn, scores each person against your ICP, and sends outreach from the LinkedIn account or email inbox you connect yourself. It sits in type C and also handles the sending.
Good fit for: teams that want monitoring and first-touch outreach in one place, and that care more about who to contact this week than about building a database.
Not a good fit for: marketing teams that want brand mention reports, which is type D work. It is also not the right pick if your only need is tracking when CRM contacts change jobs. A dedicated job-change tool is built for that one job.
2. LinkedIn Sales Navigator
Sales Navigator is the baseline. Alerts on saved leads and accounts come from LinkedIn itself, so nothing breaks when a third-party tool loses access. These are the figures on LinkedIn's compare-plans page as of August 2026. LinkedIn varies pricing by region and currency and changes it without notice, so confirm before you buy.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Core | $119.99 per seat | about $89.99 per month, $1,079.88 per year | 30-day free trial |
| Advanced | $159.99 per seat | about $149.99 per month, $1,799.88 per year | Up to 5 seats self-serve |
| Advanced Plus | By quote | Unofficial reports of $1,300 to $1,600+ per seat per year | Sales call required |
Every tier includes 50 InMail credits a month. You can save up to 10,000 leads. The annual discount saves 25% on Core but only about 6% on Advanced. Ten Advanced seats billed annually cost $17,998.80 a year. Sources disagree on the filter count, quoting anything from 40+ to 50+, so treat that number loosely.
Pick it over us if: your reps already work their saved account lists every day and you mainly need to know when those accounts post or change. If you are weighing it against other tools, see our Sales Navigator alternatives.
3. Job-change trackers: UserGems, Champify, LeadIQ, Apollo
These tools watch contacts you already know and flag them when they move to a new company. A former champion at a new employer is one of the warmest signals in B2B, and this is the one job these tools are built around. Our research did not include verified 2026 pricing for any of them, so check with each vendor.
Pick one over us if: you have a large CRM of past customers and champions and your main play is following them to new companies. Our job-change trigger playbook covers how to work that window once you have the alert.
4. Post and engagement listening: Extrovert, Embers, Signado, CatchIntent
This group watches public LinkedIn activity: who comments on what, who engages with a competitor, who posts about a problem you solve. Extrovert and Embers both publish their own rankings of this category. Both lists were written before 23 September 2026 and still recommend Trigify, so read them with that in mind. We don't have verified 2026 pricing for these tools.
Pick one over us if: you want listening only and already have a sending tool you are happy with. If competitor activity is the signal you care about most, see tracking everyone who engages with your competitor's posts.
5. Clay-built workflows
Some teams build their own monitoring in Clay by chaining data sources, filters and enrichment. You get full control, and you also take on the maintenance. When a source changes, the workflow breaks and someone on your team fixes it.
Pick it over us if: you have a RevOps person who enjoys building, and your signals are unusual enough that no packaged tool covers them. We compare the two approaches in Saava vs Clay.
What happened to Trigify?
Trigify announced on 23 September 2026 that its team is joining HubSpot. Access ends on 22 October 2026 at 11:59pm BST. Trigify's FAQ says the platform, customer accounts and service are being retired and will not continue inside HubSpot. Contracts with longer notice periods get individually negotiated dates. One newsletter reports that integrations and API access stop when account access does. That claim did not come from Trigify itself.
If you are on Trigify, export your data now. Our guide on what to do before October 22 has the checklist.
There is a wider lesson here. One newsletter argues that buying-signal tools are "a feature with a funding round attached." That is opinion, but it points at a real risk. Whatever you pick, make sure your contacts and signal history can be exported.

How should a sales team choose?
- List the three or four signals that have actually come before your past deals: a job change, a competitor comment, a hiring post.
- Map each signal to a type in the table above. That tells you which tool categories you need.
- Start with Sales Navigator Core if reps work named accounts. The 30-day trial is enough to see whether they use the alerts.
- Add one type C or type B tool, not three. Overlapping alerts get muted.
- Decide how fast someone acts on an alert. A signal worked a week later is mostly noise. See speed to lead for buying signals.
Where Saava fits
Saava covers the public engagement and buying-signal part of monitoring, scores people against your ICP, and sends outreach from the LinkedIn account or email you connect. It does not replace Sales Navigator's saved-account alerts or a dedicated job-change tracker if those are your main plays. Many teams will run it alongside Sales Navigator rather than instead of it.
FAQ
Is Sales Navigator enough on its own for LinkedIn monitoring?
For teams working a fixed list of named accounts, often yes. It alerts you on leads and accounts you have saved. It will not show you strangers engaging with competitor posts or a problem you solve, and for that you need a type C tool.
Are Hootsuite and Brandwatch LinkedIn monitoring tools for sales?
They monitor LinkedIn, but for brand mentions and page performance. They suit marketing teams and agencies. They do not tell a rep which individual buyer to contact today.
Should I still sign up for Trigify in 2026?
No. Access ends on 22 October 2026 and the product will not continue inside HubSpot. Our Trigify alternatives page compares replacements.
How much does LinkedIn Sales Navigator cost in 2026?
As of August 2026, LinkedIn listed Core at $119.99 and Advanced at $159.99 per seat per month on monthly billing, with lower rates on annual billing. Prices vary by region, so check LinkedIn's compare-plans page.
